They have historically provided services to the lowest income segment of the community, and they don’t turn anyone away due to inability to pay. FISH of Northwestern Connecticut

FISH is the largest non-profit social service agency in the Northwest Corner of Connecticut. They provide regional programs/services to low-income/vulnerable individuals/families.  They have a 35-bed emergency shelter, Food Pantry, Clothing Room, Operation Fuel/Warm thy Neighbor/FEMA assistance, emergency prescription assistance, and Holiday Programs. In 2009-2010, they added two new programs to deliver food to cancer patients and people who cannot travel to the food pantry.  www.fishnwct.org
