Promotes general welfare of individuals with developmental disabilities.  Provides support, housing and employment opportunities, leisure time, educational and other program activities utilizing generic community resources.  United Way of Northwest Connecticut funds have made it possible to offer approximately 279 individual opportunities for trips in the community, state, and throughout the U.S.A. yearly to individuals with developmental disabilities from Northwest Connecticut.
